At our center, patients scheduled for surgery are preoperatively studied using our 3D virtual reality platforms. This allows surgeons to review and rehearse surgical cases before entering the operating room, much like a conductor conducts a final rehearsal before a concert. This practice enhances the neurosurgeon's confidence and understanding of the surgical anatomy, and it facilitates the transfer of knowledge between experienced surgeons and younger surgeons or residents. This approach has proven beneficial in oncological neurosurgery (STARS Study), vascular neurosurgery (STARS CASCADE), and skull base surgery (STARS CT-Made).
