During the EANS congress held in Venice Oct. 1-5, 2017, neurosurgical simulation sessions were offered for anyone wishing to try out the BNSC simulators. Young students, residents and neurosurgeons from around the world had the chance to try their hand at various tasks, such as virtual removal of a brain tumor. Thanks to the voluntary memberships of some of the participants, our team was also able to collect crucial data for some pioneering research projects aimed at correlating performance at simulators with the personality profiles of the participants. The experience offered proved to be both fun and constructive, helping to bring some neurosurgeons closer to the world of simulation and its incredible potential, especially as a training and practice tool for the less experienced.
