The Besta NeuroSim Center is a partner in MORE4Neuro – Hyper-Realistic Models for Neurosurgery Training, a project co-financed by the Lombardy Region under the "Collabora & Innova 2024" call and co-financed by European funds.

MORE4Neuro is a research and development project aimed at creating an advanced platform for neurosurgical simulation, integrating realistic anatomical models, virtual reality and augmented reality technologies, and physiological monitoring systems. The goal is to provide an immersive, highly realistic training environment in which the physical and digital components interact with one another, making it possible to simulate surgical procedures, collect real-time data, and objectively assess skills, operational strategies, and risk management.

Within the project consortium, coordinated by the University of Milan, the Besta NeuroSim Center contributes its expertise in neurosurgical simulation and training, focusing in particular on the co-development, supervision, and validation of physical and digital simulation models.
Founded in 2015 by Director Prof. Francesco DiMeco and Scientific Director Dr. Alessandro Perin, the Besta NeuroSim Center is the first center in Europe dedicated to simulation and advanced training in neurosurgery.

- Innovative, efficient, and standardized training experience: the aim is to create a realistic and replicable simulation environment designed to accelerate the acquisition of neurosurgical skills, leading to full professional autonomy.

- Reduced risk in the operating room: training and neurosurgical simulation of complex cases prior to operating on the patient can help reduce operating time and surgical risk.

- Advanced preoperative planning: the use of models for anatomical exploration helps improve procedural safety, enabling personalized preoperative planning for each patient.

- Innovation in the MedTech sector: strengthening the MedTech value chain by connecting research, innovative SMEs, hospital institutions, and the training of new professionals with integrated, cross-disciplinary skills.
