This simulator can reconstruct and visualize the patient's CT and MRI images in 3D. The Surgical Theater is used both for studying anatomy to determine the safest and most effective surgical procedure, as well as for training purposes. Furthermore, the 3D anatomical visualization allows the neurosurgeon to effectively communicate with the patient when discussing surgical risks during the informed consent process.
